Induction Cooktop Ventilation System Installation Guide

When installing an induction cooktop ventilation system, ensuring proper airflow is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your appliance. The system is designed to efficiently cool the cooktop’s electrical components and control panel, preventing overheating and extending the life of the appliance well beyond the warranty period.

Key Installation Points

Fresh Air Access:

The ventilation system requires a dedicated source of fresh air. This can be achieved through a bottom vent strategically placed in the front of the bottom shelf of the cupboard or, if an oven is installed below the cooktop, by fitting a vent beneath the oven. This design ensures that cool air can flow freely to the back of the cupboard and enter the cooktop’s intake cooling fans.

Airflow Management:

The fresh, cool air is drawn into the cooktop, circulating through the unit to cool the internal components. The warmed air is then expelled through vents located at the front of the cooktop. It’s essential that this warmed air has an unobstructed path to escape, allowing for efficient cooling and preventing heat buildup.

Heat Shield Protection:

To further safeguard the cooktop from potential overheating, a heat shield must be installed beneath the cooktop. This shield prevents the recirculation of heated air back into the cooktop, ensuring the unit remains cool and functions efficiently without risk of premature failure.

Versatile Vent Design:

We offer a variety of vent designs and styles tailored to different kitchen configurations. Whether dealing with various oven sizes, cupboard heights, or door and panel styles, there is a vent or exhaust system to match. This flexibility ensures that every kitchen appliance that requires ventilation can benefit from a system designed to prolong its life and enhance its performance.

This guide should help ensure a proper and effective installation of the induction cooktop ventilation system, promoting a long-lasting and well-functioning appliance.

Step 1:

Fit OB600 Oven Back. (Bench-top support rail.) flush with top of cabinet through fixing holes in sides only. OS600 (Oven vent support panel) will be screwed through front holes into cabinet. Make sure a pilot hole of 3mm is drilled into the cabinet before screw fixing. 3mm x 10mm pop rivets may also be used.

Step 2:

Fit OS600 Oven Front Vent Support 2mm down from top of cabinet (To align with adjacent top of door or draw) through fixing holes in front. Also fit OS600 (Oven front vent support) flush with the bottom of the cabinet, to align with the bottom of the adjacent door or draw. Make sure a pilot hole of 3mm is drilled into the cabinet before screw fixing.

Step 3:

Fit OV600 Oven Front Vent over OS600 (Oven vent front support) to top and bottom of cabinet. This is a press fit only. Fit OM600 (700,900).
